      <title>Chile Earthquake</title>
      <description>The earthquake hit 70 miles (115 km) northeast of Concepcion - the second largest city in Chile with a population of around 900,000 - at around 3:34 am (0634 GMT) on February 27.

Children are always among the most vulnerable in such a huge earthquake - suffering extreme trauma from the disaster, as well as trying to cope with being separated from parents and close family in the chaos, and the loss of their relatives.

Our support will focus specifically on the needs of those children &#8212; keeping them safe, and ensuring they can get back to school where possible.

We are also deeply concerned that the poorest communities in the affected areas will suffer the most, with less access to food and shelter. Support to them must be a priority.

&quot;To support Save the Children's emergency response in Chile please donate.</description>

      <title>Xscape Castleford's 20 Millionth Visitor!</title>
      <description>Xscape Castleford has just seen the 20 Millionth visitor enter through its doors! That&#8217;s the equivalent to a third of the entire UK population visiting Yorkshire&#8217;s ultimate entertainment destination!

Since its opening in October 2003 Xscape has gone from strength to strength with new businesses continuing to open, each with new appeal. The destination is also proving it can buck the economic slowdown with businesses in Xscape enjoying more record sales weeks in 2009 than any other year!

The award-winning destination has drawn its visitors from the whole of Yorkshire and beyond, and significantly has attracted tourists to Xscape, benefiting the region as a whole.

Dan Wharton, Marketing Manager at Xscape commented: &quot;20 million is a staggering figure; it&#8217;s a great achievement for Xscape and the region. The secret of our success lies in the variety of our offer; being able to eat, shop and play all under one roof.  And when playing at Xscape can be as unique as Skiing in real snow, rock climbing up to 15m or shooting a loved one at Laser-zone you begin to see why 20 million have chosen to have fun spending their leisure time with us!&quot;

Xscape, Castleford has delivered new and innovative concepts over the past 7 years, anchored by the indoor real snow slope and a critical mass of other exciting activities. A series of new brands has recently opened within the scheme including Sai Chef and Texan Chicken in 2009.

Check out www.xscape.co.uk for more details of what&#8217;s on over the next few months.

      <title>Double Whammy for Xscape Braehead</title>
      <description>Xscape Braehead had a double celebration on last week as a record day for footfall pushed visitor numbers through the 10 million mark.

The 10 million mile-stone was reached on Saturday with almost 20,000 visitors going through the doors in a single day.

19,629 visitors on Saturday beat the previous record day &#8211; 19,351 visitors on Bank Holiday Monday 4th May 2009.

Colin Reid Marketing Manager for Xscape Braehead, was naturally delighted,

&#8216;This is an amazing figure - both in terms of having nearly 20,000 people through the doors in a single day and the cumulative figure of 10 million. It&#8217;s like having had every single person in Scotland visit us twice since we opened.

&#8216;Saturday was a great day with a fabulous atmosphere all day long. We have had good days before but what is very exciting is that Saturday was neither a bank holiday or within a school holiday &#8211; both occasions when we&#8217;d expect to be busy. We may be on the brink of an upturn, but good quality, value for money, fun for all the family is clearly popular no matter what the economic climate. &#8216;
